Please understand that in order to maintain a fast peer-review and publishing process we can only accept well-prepared manuscripts. Please do not resubmit your paper to this journal unless you have carefully prepared it according to the 'Instructions for Authors' of the journal As CEACR is an open access journal, after publication the full text can be accessed free of charge from the journal website.

1. Title: The title of your paper should be specific and relevant.

2. Author List and Affiliations: Please provide full first and last names of all authors. One author should be designated as *corresponding author. Example: Correspondence author: First Name, Last Name (e-mail)

3. Abstract: The abstract should be a total of about 500 words maximum. The abstract should be a single paragraph. Please include in the Abstract an objective representation of the article. Please do not include results which are not presented in main conclusions.

4. Keywords: Please introduce three to ten specific keywords.

5. Introduction: The introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context. Please try to define the clinical background, common “needs” about your topic, objectives of your study, including specific aims being tested.

6. Materials and Methods: Please use enough details to allow others to replicate your study. If you are using software, medical devices, chemicals, please give the name and version, together with Company Name, City, Country.

7. Results: Provide a concise and precise description of the study results.

8. Discussion: Please discuss the results and how they can be interpreted in perspective of previous studies and of the working hypotheses.

9. Conclusions: Please try to discuss just your results. Do not introduce results from another study.

10. Patents: This section is not mandatory, but may be added if there are patents resulting from the work reported in this manuscript.

11. Acknowledgments: All sources of funding of the study should be disclosed. Clearly indicate grants that you have received in support of your research work and if you received funds to cover publication costs.

Preparing Figures, Schemes and Tables

File for Figures and Schemes must be provided during submission in a single file of manuscript. Common formats are accepted - TIFF, JPEG, EPS and PDF. All Figures, Schemes and Tables should be inserted into the main text close to their first citation and must be numbered following their number of appearance (Figure 1, Figure 2, Table 1, etc.). Please introduce to every Figure/Table a short explanatory title and caption.

Research Involving Human Subjects

Studies involving experimental research on animals or humans must conform to the guiding principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. In order to respect the patient’s right to privacy, identifying information such as patient’s name, images, should not be included in any published material. The permission for publishing of photographs and other identification materials should be granted by sending a copy of the patient consent form. Manuscripts reporting experimental data on animals should contain information according to ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting In Vivo Experiments) guidelines (http://www.nc3rs.org.uk/downloaddoc.asp?id=1206&page=1357&skin=0).

Example of an ethical statement: "All subjects gave their informed consent for inclusion before they participated in the study. The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and the protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of XXX (Project identification code)."

Scientific misconduct

Scientific misconduct includes data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, redundant publication, ghost authorship or other fraudulent research practices. In order to prevent plagiarism issues, all manuscripts sent to the journal will be screened using the specific soft. In case of the suspicion of scientific misconduct, the Editor will act in conformity stated in the COPE guidelines and if the fraudulent practice is confirmed the manuscript will be rejected outright.

Review Process

A. Initial Checks

All submitted manuscripts received by the CEACR Editorial Office will be checked by a professional in-house Managing Editor. No judgment on the potential impact of the work will be made at this stage. Reject decisions at this stage will be verified by the Editor-in-Chief.

B. Peer-Review

Once a manuscript passes the initial checks, it will be assigned to at least two or three independent experts for peer-review. Peer review comments are confidential and will only be disclosed with the express agreement of the reviewer.

C. Editorial Decision

The CEACR Editor will communicate the decision of the academic editor:

3. Reject and Encourage Resubmission

D. Production and Publication

If the manuscript is accepted, will undergo professional copy-editing, English editing, proofreading by the authors, final corrections, pagination, and, publication on the CEACR website.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Central European Annals of Clinical Research is an open access journal that provides immediate free access to the full text of published articles without a subscription. There are no submission charges, and no charges for rejected manuscripts. The article processing charges covers the publication costs and applies only for the accepted manuscripts.

All articles published in Central European Annals of Clinical Research are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) of 1500 EURO applies to papers accepted after peer review. No APC for manuscripts submitted during 2019/20.

Handling fee (HF)

A non-refundable processing fee of EUR 100 (plus VAT in European countries) is due prior to processing, independent of acceptance or rejection. NO handling fee for manuscripts submitted during 2019/ 2020.
